Woke up in Tokyo. I’ve been dreaming of this since I was here last time, 19 years ago!
Had a shower. Then we (me, Tom, Stephen) went for a walk. To explore. And find something to eat. Found this amazing ramen place. It was so good, I want to live in that bowl. We then found a coffee house that’s been there since the 1920’s. This is such an amazing city. Just walking around, looking at buildings, alleys and people. By 3pm we had walked 10,000 steps, so we walked back to the hotel to rest and recharge.
We went out again, found ourselves in the GODZ metal bar. Tiny place, but kind of fun. Just walked around, taking it all in. Had some sashimi, also great. Then we found a small place in an alley where we tried some sake (seemed like the right place to have it)
Amazing first day in Tokyo.
