Day 28 Manchester

Didn’t sleep well last night. Took forever to fall asleep. So, a bit tired today. No catering in the venue until 14:30. Great! By then I will have starved to death.

Anything to get off this island. (Not really, but kind of yes) Although this is a nice venue, clean and warm, there is something depressing about the UK. You were once a beacon of music – The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, I could go on and on. And you treat your venues (and bands) like this?? Sorry for the rant, but I’m really hungry.

Ah, finally!! Bread, cheese and some meats.

No soundcheck, because there is no time. They have a noise curfew until 17:00.

Apparently, no dinner either. Ah, ”Great” Britain – the gift that keeps on giving. Half a piece of bread, because we got one loaf of bread for two bands + crew. This recovery from puking and s****ing is more difficult than I thought. An old drummer friend of mine would say ”Good Practice” whenever you’d run into ”obstacles”. I’ll try to remember that. I have to. Monster Energy drink, it is!

Jeez, now Tom is sick. Puking and stuff. Something is definitely going around. Still did the show, like a boss. Good show, too. Fun.

Oh, and my in-ear monitors broke. They still make a sound, luckily. Good day, this.
