Flew in yesterday. Straight from the airport to the venue to start unpacking gear and stuff. Hung around for a bit, met a lot of friends that I hadn’t seen in years. That made me very happy.
This morning started with hotel breakfast. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, apple juice. Oh, and ”coffee”. Met a couple of the guys from Voyager at breakfast. Haven’t seen them since….I don’t know when.
Went over to the venue for morning rehearsals. Good sound onstage. Due to visa issues we had Vikram Shankar and Chris Quirarte filling in.
Jet-lag is starting to hit. Watched a couple of songs of DGM, then went back to the hotel to sleep.
Dinner at the venue was great. Grilled chicken, pork roast, broccoli. Had another cup of ”coffee”.
The show went surprisingly well, considering the circumstances. Met Ray Alder of Fates Warning and Redemption. Super nice guy.
A nice ending to a very long day.
